A great pudding idea here for those of us blessed with pear trees, Peel your pears and then cut them into halves with the stalks and stones removed. Take a pan and add a couple of tablespoons of honey, ½ inch of fresh ginger and then a grated lemon (zest as well) and the same with an orange. Mix with about 300ml of water and then simmer gently to make sure that the honey is well melted. You then add the pair halves in a layer across the pan, and then poach the pears in there for about 20 mins. Then just take the pears out, add about 60g of sugar to thicken the remaining juices and then just pour it over the top. Delicious if you serve it with some vanilla ice cream!
