This is a tip for anyone who doesn’t have a sizeable estate to grow their veg on (YES – THAT’S YOU JAMIE). Your plants will end up with less light if they are near the house (as they will always be partly shaded), so clock the movements of the sun and make sure you plant things in the area that receives the most sun. You can even try using reflectors to direct some sun at them. The same problem can occur with water – the house can block direct rain so make sure that you water them constantly. Just watch out that you don’t give yourself a damp problem by over watering.
