How about the good old marrow? Excellent and in season at the moment. Roasted around joint it is delicious and with seeds scooped out and filled with mince,onions and tomatoes bound together with a bit of Oxo and baked in the oven slowly for about 2hrs it makes its own delicious gravy.I always peel marrow with a potato peeler. Marrow and tomatoes baked together also go well, marrow plain boiled with a knob of butter and pepper is also fab!!
