    For a brazilian taste rice, fry some onions in olive oil and when it becomes soft and clear add some smash garlic (don´t let it turn gold). Then, add 1 cup of rice, mix it and add 1 tsp of salt. Add 2 cups of hot water. Don´t cover the pan, turn the heat down and let it cook until the water be all absorved by the rice (you´ll hear little pops). Turn the heat of and wait 5 minutes before serving. This is our everyday rice and we normally serve with cooked beans.
